FANTASTIC!

Review by Gizmo's Wife (Posted on 1/5/14)
As a nut about skin protection, I bought this parasol for our infant's trip to Las Vegas. It was phenomenal! I love that it adjusts so easily and that you can leave the base on but remove the umbrella to prevent wear and tear. Inglesina has great customer service, too--when we did get a small hole in our parasol despite taking really good care of it, they sent us a new one right away without any hassle. I've gotten lots of comments on this, and it remains one of my favorite baby items.

Working great

Solid, easy to use, and holding a great grip on either one of the two stroller frames we have (from different brands). Reliable and easy to reposition depending on the sun's direction. I am so happy we bought it.

Best I have found

light and it's even double linen. Fits the Mutsy Transporter stroller very well!

brilliant sun/rain shield

Visiting my daughter and grand daughter in Portland our stroller canopy was inadequate for the sudden 100degree heat and the change to constant rain here. I ordered the Umbrella Parasol and paid for early delivery. Unfortunately the expected date of deliver was 10 days away. I emailed the company requesting they do their best to expedite delivery as we couldn't take our baby out in the searing heat without it ...it arrived in 5 days and I was very very delighted as both too much sunshine or too much rain for an 11 month old baby isn't good!
Reviews I had read concerning the attachment to certain strollers being difficult I think are unfounded. We have two strollers both with different frames - the parasol fits both strollers with different frames perfectly and we have had so many compliments as we have walked around Portland in both rain and sunshine, saying what a great idea it is.
I can't believe people don't have them here? Maybe we have started off a new trend!
Thank you so much for getting our parasol to us as quickly as you could - customer service is perfect.

A LIFE SAVER

Review by Ticky85 (Posted on 4/27/13)
I bought this in a 'panic' because we had a trip planned to Washington DC with our 2 young children, and the weather forecasts we showing triple digit temperatures.
I have a Mia Moda Compagno (sit and stand style) stroller, with a large shade on the front seat, but no shade over the toddler seat at the back.
This worked PERFECTLY to protect my son from the sun.
It bends easily from one side to the other to block the sun as it moves.
I find that clipping it on 'back to front' works best... in other words, the 'knob' that you tighten the clamp with, that would usually go on the outside of whatever you're clamping it too, I put it on so that the knob was on the inside of the stroller... this allows the shade to lean further over the stroller than if you clamp it the other way around. (if that makes any sense. lol)
It folds up very easily, and comes with a handy little carry bag that is compact and great for storing it in when not in use.
I found the clamp to be sufficiently sturdy, and able to tighten and loosen again with ease.
My only complaint about this umbrella is the price... It's a great little umbrella that serves the purpose its supposed too, but I feel that it could easily be $10 cheaper.

Best parasol you can find

Review by Cecilia (Posted on 4/13/13)
Buying a parasol for a stroller is not an easy task. Most have mixed reviews (yep - I read them all) and since our stroller is not a known brand (it was purchased in Brazil) we were stuck with the ones that said "universal". To make matters worse I don't know exactly why but the pictures don't usually show the attachment piece very well, making it even harder to see if the thing will fit your stroller.
I ordered the "Shadybaby" one and seriously, don't waste your time. That thing is crap. It looks flimsy, the attachment piece is of such poor quality that it broke when I was attaching it for the first time to the stroller. I didn't even leave home! We returned it, and it motivated me to write a review - the first one of my life - to make sure such a horrible product don't go unnoticed.

But I digress - this review is about the lovely Inglesina parasol. Amazing parasol. It looks way nicer than the "Shadybaby" one. It is sturdier, the attachment piece fits perfectly and actually stays in place. It's shorter than the Shadybaby, which makes for better sun protection - the other one is 4 feet tall - what is the purpose? It has a movable coil-like part that makes for adjustment in every direction possible and the two-layered umbrella kind of diffuses the wind so it's not easily blown away. It comes with a nice package, which can hold the removable umbrella part. You can totally see why Italian design is so well regarded. It does not even compare to the other one and the price difference is about $5.00. Case closed.

So far happy, very nice item. The design and quality are good over all. Has a spring if it gets windy
